Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is spaced 1.5; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except in URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The SES journal exclusively accepts original articles that have not been previously published in other journals. However, we do consider articles presented at events, provided that authors disclose this information.

Here are the detailed standards for formatting and preparing original submissions:

  • Articles must have a maximum of 22 pages.
  • Accepted languages include Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
  • Authorship is limited to a maximum of 8 authors per article.
  • Text should be formatted in Arial font, size 12, with a line spacing of 1.5.
  • Figures and Tables should be integrated within the text, editable, and presented in font size 10. Both the content and the title of the figures and tables should be in font size 10, with the title placed just above the graphic elements and the content below.
  • The title of the article should be provided in Portuguese, English, and Spanish at the beginning of the file, using font size 14.
  • Abstracts and keywords should be included in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with single spacing, immediately below the title.
  • References must adhere to the standards set by the Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT).
  • The submitted file should not contain any identification of the authors.

The STUDIES IN EDUCATION SCIENCES reserves the right to modify original normative, orthographic and grammatical changes, in order to maintain the language's worship pattern, while respecting the style of the authors. Final papers will not be sent to the authors.

  •  Once you submit the articles, the authors give the copyright of their articles to the SES. If you regret the submission, the author has the right to ask the SES not to publish his article. However, this request must occur within two months before the release of the number that the article will be published.
