Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Articles, reviews and scientific communications must be linked to the nature of the publication and the theme of each issue.
  • Articles must have a maximum of 20 pages (including footnotes, annexes and references), typed in Arial font, size 12, with one and a half line spacing.
  • Articles must comply with the following structure a) title in the language of the text; b) name(s) of the author(s) with a footnote giving academic references (training, degree, institution) and professional references (position held); c) abstract in the language of the text; d) keywords in the language of the text; e) title in a foreign language; f) abstract in a foreign language; g) keywords in a foreign language; h) introduction; i) development; j) conclusion; k) references; l) appendix(es) (if any); m) annex(es) (if any).
  • Originals must be submitted in EDITABLE FORMAT (.doc, .odt...). Optionally, you can add a version of the work in closed format (.pdf), in the Supplementary documents step. The maximum size per file is 10MB.
  • Bibliographical references must follow ABNT standards (NBR 6023/2002) and be arranged in alphabetical order, according to the system used for in-text citations (AUTHOR-DATE SYSTEM, NBR 10520/2002), at the end of the work. Footnotes are used EXCLUSIVELY for explanatory notes and must be numbered and inserted on the page on which they are placed.

  • The Journal's Editorial Board reserves the right to accept submissions or not, informing the author whether or not the article will be published. Publication does not imply any kind of remuneration.
  • The quality of the presentation of the work, as well as its content and originality, are the sole responsibility of the author(s). By submitting their work, the author(s) grant Univates the respective rights of reproduction and publication. Omissions will be resolved by the journal's scientific editors.

Author Guidelines

Caderno Pedagógico Journal aims to disseminate knowledge about health education, prevention and treatment, biomedicine, among others. The studies presented should develop theoretical and methodological practices and reflections of researchers, teachers and students.

Here are detailed standards for formatting and preparing original submissions:

  • Articles must have a maximum of 20 pages.
  • Accepted languages include Portuguese, English or Spanish.
  • Authorship is limited to a maximum of 8 authors per article.
  • The text must be formatted in Arial font, size 12, with line spacing of 1.5.
  • Figures and Tables must be integrated into the text, editable and presented in size 10 font. Both the content and the title of figures and tables must be in size 10 font, with the title placed just above the graphic elements and the content below.
  • The title of the article must be provided in Portuguese, English and Spanish at the beginning of the file, using font size 14.
  • Summaries and keywords must be included in Portuguese, English and Spanish, single-spaced, immediately below the title.
  • References must follow the standards established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT).
  • The file sent must not contain any identification of the authors.

  • Articles with plagiarism will be refused, and the author of the plagiarism will lose the right to publish in this journal.
  • The names and addresses informed in this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and are not available for other purposes or to third parties.
  • Once you submit the articles, the authors give the copyright of their articles to the Caderno Pedagógivo. If you regret the submission, the author has the right to ask the Caderno Pedagógivo not to publish his article. However, this request must occur within two months before the release of the number that the article will be published.
